Every driver representing Averion Ventures is an ambassador of our mission: to provide safe, compassionate, and reliable transportation for those who need it most. These obligations are not just rules — they are the foundation of the trust our clients place in us every single day.
All drivers must maintain the following at all times:
Class 4 or equivalent commercial license as required by provincial regulations.
No major violations in the past 3 years. Abstract reviewed annually.
Enhanced RCMP background check completed before onboarding and renewed every 2 years.
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification required.
Annual vehicle safety inspection certificate. Vehicle must be less than 8 years old.
Commercial vehicle insurance with minimum $2M liability coverage.
Our clients are often elderly, medically vulnerable, or require special assistance. Drivers must uphold the highest standards of care:

Always exit the vehicle and assist passengers to and from the door

Provide arm support when requested or when passenger appears unsteady

Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices before departure

Never rush passengers — allow adequate time for boarding and alighting

Carry and assist with light bags or medical equipment when needed

Greet every passenger warmly and introduce yourself by name

Speak clearly and patiently, especially with hearing-impaired clients

Maintain a calm, reassuring demeanor at all times

Respect cultural differences and personal boundaries

Never discuss personal opinions on politics, religion, or sensitive topics

All passenger information is strictly confidential

Never discuss a passenger's medical condition, destination, or personal details with others

Do not take photos of passengers or their belongings

Comply with PIPEDA and all applicable privacy laws
Drivers must arrive at the pickup location at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
Any delay must be reported to dispatch immediately with an estimated arrival time.
If a driver must cancel, minimum 3 hours notice is required. Repeated cancellations may result in deactivation.
Use the most direct, safe route. Detours require passenger consent and must be reported.

Driver performance is monitored through passenger ratings, dispatch feedback, and periodic reviews. Drivers are expected to maintain:
Drivers falling below these standards will receive a performance improvement plan. Continued non-compliance may result in deactivation from the platform.
