Every Averion driver is held to the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and compassionate care.

Background & Licensing

  • Valid BC driver's licence with clean abstract
  • Criminal record check (vulnerable sector included)
  • Commercial insurance compliance
  • Annual re-verification required

Training & Certification

  • Senior care & compassionate communication training
  • Mobility aid operation (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters)
  • First aid & CPR certification
  • Emergency response procedures

Vehicle Standards

  • Clean, odour-free interior at all times
  • No smoking — ever, in or near the vehicle
  • First aid kit & fire extinguisher required
  • Regular mechanical inspections

Conduct & Care

  • Professional, respectful, patient demeanour
  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before scheduled pickup
  • Assist passengers door-to-door
  • Maintain passenger confidentiality always

Requirements

Valid BC Class 4 unrestricted
Clean driver's abstract (no more than 2 minor violations in 3 years)
Minimum 2 years of licensed driving experience
Clean criminal background check (vulnerable sector)
Reliable vehicle meeting Averion's standards
Smartphone with data plan for dispatch app
Strong communication skills & compassionate personality
Willingness to complete Averion's onboarding training
